Hailing from Alliance, Nebraska, JB has built a refined sound with versatility at its core. Smooth as silk, fluid as water, and proudly showcasing a diversity that spans across all the sounds of hip-hop, his love for the genre pours through his finely crafted style. With themes of love, pain, and inspiration; his personal growth is centric to his forward thinking sound.
As with any story worth telling, JB's doesn't come without a series of highs and lows. Ridiculed for his love for hip-hop culture in a place where the culture was scarce, it wasn't until his move to his new hometown of Lincoln that he began to fully immerse himself in the scene. After playing local shows for many big name headliners and recording an abundance of mixtapes, JB felt disheartened that he was not making music for himself or with purpose any longer and took a three-year hiatus from music completely. However, after becoming re-inspired in Maryland by the likes of J-Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Nipsey Hussle, the fire within him was reignited and is now burning stronger than ever before.
JB's debut album, 'Life Lessons', is a project filled with inspiring wordplay and an array of emotions, and available to purchase and stream now. His highly-awaited follow-up track 'Hometown Hero', was a success and now is set to release his new single ‘No Place Like Nebraska’ on July 13th, 2024 with more music to follow.
